Hj Sobri Perlu Belajar Dari Sifu FDI Dari Kedah.....

FEDERAL GOVT TO PARTLY FUND SENAI HI-TECH PARK (klik sini)

16 SEPTEMBER 2009, BY BUSINESS TIMES

The federal government has agreed to partly finance the infrastructure for the 404.69ha Senai Hi-Tech Park.

International Trade and Industry Minister Datuk Mustapa Mohamed said the Johor government, through the State Economic Planning Unit (EPU), had applied for a grant amounting to RM300 million from the total cost of RM515 million.

"The federal government has agreed in principle to finance part of the infrastructure cost and we will meet the state and federal EPUs to discuss the matter soon."

He told reporters this after chairing the Joint Industrial Coordination Committee Meeting with the Johor government in Johor Baru yesterday.

Johor Menteri Besar Datuk Abdul Ghani Othman said with the high technology park, more foreign investors will be drawn to the Iskandar Malaysia development region.

SENAI HI-TECH PARK A HOT ATTRACTION (klik sini)

The park has attracted two major investors since it was opened, with its latest addition Solexel following EQ Solar Technology International from China.

Kuala Lumpur: Malaysia's second high-technology park in Johor can repeat the success of its northern counterpart in the electronics sector with a similar investment interest in the solar and green technology.

So far, the park has attracted two major investors since it was opened, with its latest addition Solexel Inc following on the heels of EQ Solar Technology International Sdn Bhd from China.

Senai Hi-Tech Park Sdn Bhd chief executive officer Datuk Ahmad Shukri Tajuddin is happy with both Solexel and EQ Solar. Having first tenants of such stature is important for the success of any industrial park, he said, referring to his experience in Kulim Hi-Tech Park, touted as one of Malaysia's success stories.

The 1,700ha Kulim Hi-Tech Park in Kedah is the first hi-tech industrial park in Malaysia that houses industries in advanced electronics, telecommunications, biotechnology, advanced materials, research and development and emerging technologies.

Senai Hi-Tech Park is keen on the green technology industries of the future. It focuses on the high-end semiconductor solar advanced technology and materials.

So far, the park has attracted investments in semiconductor, solar, advanced material industries and nanotechnology to the tune of RM3 billion

Solexel has pledged to invest RM2.8 billion to build a photovoltaic (PV) cell manufacturing plant in Senai Hi-Tech Park.

Ahmad Shukri, the very person who helmed Kulim Hi-Tech Park when it drew Intel and other big multinational corporations (MNCs) like Infineon or First Solar to Kulim, says Senai Hi-Tech Park has its own potential apart from incentives and human resource.

Being close to Singapore is one. Flanked by ports like Port of Tanjung Pelepas and Johor Port and next to Senai Airport are among the main logistics criteria which discerning international investors are on the lookout for.

They also have the infrastructure link to get across to Changi Airport in Singapore or alternatively from the island republic to Kuala Lumpur in three hours.

Intellectual property support is also a key deciding factor for companies like Solexel which has its own R&D centres.

"We hope that we can play a supporting role, fronting the industrial development for Iskandar Malaysia, attracting high-end companies with value-added, into Senai," said Ahmad Shukri in an interview.

He said the park is looking at China, India, Korea, Taiwan and Japan to woo investors from the green technology sector.

Investment flow into hi-tech parks are also market-driven and, in the case of Senai, many are watchful for the feed-in tariff.

Ahmad Shukri agreed that with the current external uncertainties, securing foreign direct investments (FDIs) in Senai Hi-Tech Park would be challenging.

"We'll have to be more creative in our approach, but fortunately we have Iskandar Malaysia which will assist things to move faster."

The northern industrial park also commenced business during a recession period, followed by a financial crisis soon after.

"Having Solexel here, with movements and activities on site, more interest will come in. And, this will be enhanced by activities in the nanotechnology technology centre," he added.

Small- and medium-sized enterprises, both domestic and international, will be the supporting companies which Senai Hi-Tech Park, together with the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (Mida) are targeting to support the four solar companies that have invested in the country.

With its aim to become the world's third-largest solar photovoltaic cell producer, Malaysia's investment package has also attracted Tokuyama, Osram, Fuji, Rohm-Wako and Nichia over the past three years.

Clustering the small businesses with these major industries is important and this, he said, can be possible through private or joint-venture participation.

Solar technology is a major growth opportunity for Malaysia, with the energy technology industry enjoying a 20 per cent annual growth rate.

As at June this year, the total solar energy investments totalled RM15.8 billion, involving various businesses that are due to create about 14,300 jobs

Senai High-Tech Park is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Senai Airport Terminal Services Sdn Bhd, under the MMC Group of Companies.

Ringkasannya ketika Dato' Shukri pegang KTHP dan SHTP…..

BIL.
KAWASAN & JANGKA MASA
GERAN KERAJAAN PERSEKUTUAN
NILAI PELABURAN/FDI YG DICAPAI

These are truly professional people handling the management of Senai High Tech Park.
Give credit where it is due; BTW yg lagi dua org kat SHTP ex KTPC; yg org bagi tau kat aku ialah Encik Ibrahim & Mr Eric; cayalah

Di KHTP la ni ada the three hajis ala2 3 musketeers; hj sobri, hj awang solahuddin & hj anuar; lepaih tu plus 3 haji juniors iaitu hj fitri (baru baik & insaf & tobat nasuha sejak hamPAS mai), hj patrick (kontrek sambung 1 thn lagi) & hj shahiran (baru naik tocang).

Kalau sapa2 dari pihak Kerajaan ada baca, tolong siasat sat apa sebab MoF dok layan hj fitri & hj awang selalu sangat pi sana. Kot2 ada org MoF yg geng depa kot. Kena siasat Mr Chou yg keja kat MoF ni, selalu sangat nak tulong depa

Lepas BN menang di Kedah, Dato' Hj Shukri kena pindah dari SHTP ka KHTP. Boleh, kan?.

Harapa dari DBHAM

Kalau BN menang PRU 13 aci kerat anu sekali lagi Dato Shukri tak mai balik dah ke KHTP., dah hancok. Caya la.

Syed Mokhtar uplagi dia punya perk.
Kah...kah....kah....yeee....haaa happy hunting.

Agaknya siapalah yg rekomen Hj ni jadi Presiden KTPC? Jawapnya tak lain dan tak bukan MB Kedah la

MB KEDAH NI MEMANG TERUK; HOPELESS

Tanah2 kat area hi-tech especially tanah2 perumahan dah habis dibagi kat tokey2 ni. Sib baik la sempat buat rumah kulim perdana tuu.. Satu lg habit buruk dato' ni... rasanya semua staff ktpc tau... sapa nak tau apa dia try la korek dgn depa kat tgkat 3 tu naaa... so buat yg puja sgt dato ni... jgn la taksub sgt... bukan baek tara mana pun org tuu... kalau BN dpt ambik balik kedah pun majoriti staff ktpc sure tak mau la dato tu mai balik..

Kalau hangpa PAS baguih sangat, hangpa bok mai la bukti org tajaan hangpa seperti Anuar Safaq tu berapa investment yg dia bok mai kat KHTP, satu habuk pun tarak, jgn cakap dgn tong kosong. Of course la nobody's perfect, tapi kena la give credit where it is due, jgn pulak ada yg buat argument secara emosional. Hakikatnya, Hj Sobri apabila pegang KTPC & KHTP is a failure & kalau nak dibandingkan milestone, achievement & track record, memang total hamPAS. Please write your comments diligently, do not simply write due to your emotions

biasanya kalau ada komen yg nak sentuh isu peribadi selalunya mai dari puak pokka hijau hamPAS la tu, bukannya nak tau bagi pujian pun kalau org lain betul. Yg dia tau nak kondem org lain tak betoi, hanya depa saja yg betoi.
Aku rasa la kalau hang pi tanya mana satu yg ok la ni, samada Hj Sobri atau Datuk Shukri utk jaga Hi-Tech, aku rasa Datuk yg menang la ni, dan aku ni bukan pun penyokong taksub Datuk, cuma pemerhati dan penganalisa politik amatur yg mempunyai minat untuk menganalisa keupayaan dan pengalaman manusia dalam mentadbir taman teknologi di Malaysia

Anonymous said...

Bukan saja MIO Kedah yg dok pantau KHTP tu, MIO Penang pun dok usyar jugak, jgn tak tau
